“Providing hope and renewal for community members in need through affordable home repair and individual support.”
They say, “Home is where the heart is.” For some, home is a reflection of the brokenness in their hearts. It is a constant reminder of the difficult circumstances of their lives, and rather than a place of comfort and safety, home is a source of tension and anxiety. We recognize that beneath the surface of our great city there are many individuals and families like this who need restoration. It is our desire to restore both homes and hearts, so that they may live abundant and joyful lives.
Restoration Now connects with these community members in need through referrals from local service organizations, churches, and neighborhood managers. The process begins by initiating a relationship with the person(s) in need. This relationship extends beyond the physical work that is done on the home. As volunteers join together to provide repair or remodeling services, they also get to know these neighbors, and become a resource for all kinds of helps. For many, it’s as simple as having someone spend time with them and listen to them. Others may just need a second set of eyes on their problem to help come up with a solution. Everyone involved will discover a new understanding of “community.”
Our organization has historically operated in and around the area of Fort Collins, Colorado, including the nearby communities of Wellington, Laporte, Bellvue, Timnath, Windsor, and Loveland. Restorative services are provided at little or no cost to those in need. These services are made possible in part through the use of collaborative approaches to construction integrating reclaimed, repurposed and donated resources, and incorporating donated professional services and volunteers from every skill level.
Restoration Now is a faith-based nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for religious, charitable, or educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
